Irradiation of Polymeric Films
The Center of Applied Physics (CAP) offers irradiation services for rolls of polymeric film up to 60 cm wide supplied by clients or sourced by CAP on clients’ request, for the purpose of creating latent ion-tracks of desired configuration and properties for subsequent physicochemical processing by the client or by CAP. Clients can choose any of the ion species and fluences produced by the FLNR cyclotron for irradiation of roll stock in the same advanced irradiation chambers and web handling equipment used by CAP for membrane production. Additionally, custom targeting set ups can be designed and deployed to accommodate the client’s requirements, including batch and patterned irradiations.
